Renee’s Second Cup of Tea

Mark Charles is our friend, mentor and, collaborative associate. Mark recently invited Renee to be on his streaming event he does every so often on social media and youtube called My Second Cup of Coffee. Renee does not drink coffee but brought her tea along for a virtual conversation with Mark

There was much to discuss, but one quote worth bringing back to the virtual table is how Indigenous have never been fully trusted with the gospel. Those words were once spoken by our other friend and mentor, Cheryl Bear. Part of decolonizing our faith is being able to interpret the gospel from our Indigenous lens. Mark has been doing just that for several years and has only recently begun to speak more about how he is interpreting Jesus and how he interacted with Jews and Gentiles.
