As of this year, Renee will have been on staff with Cru, specifically Nations, for nearly twenty years. But, now that she has left staff with Cru, she is going to continue her work at another organization. What Renee enjoyed most about her job with Nations was working with young people. She worked mostly with young college students. Renee would meet with students at campus or in our home, to share stories, a meal, and talk about life and the many decisions that come with growing up.
These students would often be far from home and did not always have someone to listen to them; to vent about school, talk about their families whom they missed daily, and how hard it is to step into a new world that often forgets Indigenous people still exist. As Renee enters a new season of life along with new episodes of her work, she is seeking support to join iEmergence. If you would like to support Renee in her work with iEmergence please go to her new giving page.
1. Go to https://iemergence.com/us/donate and click on “Support iE Programs” (pictured below).

2. Then under “Designate Your Donation” list click on “iEmergence New Mexico” (pictured below). This is the designated field for Renee and her support.

Another Way To Help
Donnie went to part-time status with Cru back in the summer of 2023. This allowed Donnie to continue his work with NAIITS as a Ph.D. Candidate, teaching courses, and working as their Undergraduate College Programs Coordinator.
Donnie believes there is still a need to be in certain conversations with Cru at large. Discussions about the repudiation of the Doctrine of Discovery, the #LandBack issue, and having to continually remind them of how Indigenous peoples are still here with their theologies, ways of knowing, ways of being, and ways to be in right relation with the Creator.
Donnie still needs to raise funds for his part-time work in Cru. To give please go to https://give.cru.org/0416956
